About Us
Taisha Suggs is a dedicated advocate for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) awareness and support. As the founder of The Suggs Foundation, she is committed to equipping individuals with the essential knowledge and skills needed to foster the growth and success of children on the spectrum. Taisha’s mission is twofold: to ensure that families raising children on the spectrum feel welcomed, understood, and empowered, and to provide a beacon of hope for those experiencing abuse—reminding them that they are never alone and that resilience is possible.
Her passion for education and service is deeply rooted in her upbringing. Raised by her mother, Rose Marie, grandmother, Retta Mae, and father, Martin, along with her 4 siblings. Taisha witnessed firsthand the power of education, hard work, and unwavering kindness. Her family embraced every child in their community, instilling in her a lifelong commitment to inclusivity, advocacy, and service.
Becoming a mother to children on the spectrum further solidified Taisha’s dedication to continuing this legacy. She understands the unique challenges families face and works tirelessly to build a compassionate, well-informed community where children on the spectrum are given every opportunity to thrive.
Education & Professional Background
Taisha is a high school graduate from Ohio and pursued specialized training at Kaplan Career Institute, where she earned a career diploma in Medical Office Administration. Currently, she is advancing her expertise in child development as she pursues a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Arizona Global Campus.
At the age of 18, Taisha embarked on a career in customer service and the healthcare industry, where she remained until she embraced motherhood. Her experience in these fields honed her ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and active listening—qualities that now define her approach to advocacy and community support.
Through The Suggs Foundation, Taisha is building a future where education, awareness, and compassion intersect to create meaningful change. Her unwavering dedication ensures that families of children on the spectrum receive the resources, support, and encouragement they need to navigate their journeys with confidence and hope.
