Sensory Friday at Jump City | April 2025

In April 2025, The Positivity Spectrum hosted a Sensory Friday event at Jump City in partnership with The Suggs Foundation. The event provided a safe, sensory-friendly environment for children on the autism spectrum and served four families seeking inclusive recreational opportunities.

During the event, The Suggs Foundation engaged directly with all four families, sharing information about our mission, initiatives, and available resources to support autistic children and families in underserved communities. This collaboration emphasized the importance of education, advocacy, and intentional spaces where neurodivergent children are supported and celebrated.

In October 2025, The Suggs Foundation partnered with Clever Bee Academy and Peerless Enterprise to host an inclusive Pumpkin Painting Day for children and families. The event served 6 families and welcomed a total of 11 children, creating a fun, accessible space for seasonal creativity and connection.

Children participated in pumpkin painting and holiday-themed activities designed to accommodate varying abilities and sensory needs. The event provided families with a safe, judgment-free environment where children could enjoy festive fun while building community and celebrating neurodiversity.

Mother’s Day Brunch Fundraiser | May 2025

In May 2025, The Suggs Foundation hosted a Mother’s Day Brunch as a fundraising and community-building event for mothers and caregivers connected to autism. The event served two families and was intentionally designed as a night out for mothers to rest, connect, and be seen.

The elegant evening featured a curated charcuterie board and mimosas, creating a welcoming and intimate setting for meaningful conversation. Mothers engaged in real-life discussions about caregiving, lived experiences with autism, and the emotional realities of supporting neurodivergent children. This event emphasized connection, validation, and caregiver wellness as essential components of community care.

Autism Fest | April 2026

In April 2026, The Suggs Foundation will host Autism Fest, an inclusive community event designed to celebrate, educate, and support autistic children and their families. This event will provide a safe, engaging, and sensory-friendly environment where children can enjoy interactive activities, educational workshops, and family-centered programming.

Through collaboration with community partners, sponsors, and local organizations, The Suggs Foundation aims to reach up to 50 families and foster connections, resource access, and advocacy awareness. Autism Fest will serve as both a fun, enriching experience for children and a platform to educate families and the broader community about autism, inclusion, and holistic support.
